Why write to us

What we love to receive

01

Place suggestions

A trail, a farm, a room with a view — if it has texture and honest hospitality, we want to visit it. Include a few lines about why it matters and where it sits.

02

Corrections

Hours change, ferries move, trails close. If something in a note is out of date, tell us and we will update it for the next reader.

03

Kind notes

Read something that changed how you spent a weekend? We keep every letter. The slow ones are the reason this journal exists.

04

Partnerships

We work with a small number of independent places and makers each season. If that sounds like you, introduce the people behind it — not just the listing.

Common questions

Before you ask

How quickly will I hear back?+

Usually within two or three days, and always within a week. We read everything that arrives and reply thoughtfully rather than quickly. If a message gets lost in transit, a gentle follow-up is always welcome.

Do you accept sponsored placements?+

We keep the journal independent and do not sell placements. We do partner with a small number of independent places and makers we genuinely believe in, and any collaboration is clearly labelled in the note.

What happens to my details?+

Your message and email are used only to reply to you. We never share them, never add you to a list without permission, and never use them for anything else. The full details are in our privacy policy.

Can I write for Orbitza?+

Occasionally. We prefer a note in the inbox to a pitch document: show us a place you love and describe the feeling it gives you. If it matches our voice, we will talk about working together.

No rush

Take your time, we do too.
